Test Development Lab Engineer

Job Summary
The Test Development Lab Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily technical operations of the Test Lab. This includes the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of Automated Test Equipment (ATE), managing lab environment, health and safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) standards, and providing technical support for test program development. You will be the point of contact for equipment vendors and internal engineering teams to ensure maximum lab uptime and testing efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure routine maintenance and calibration on machines and equipment are on time.
- Lab Operations & Safety: Monitor and maintain lab environments and ESD protection programs.
- Incident Management: Respond to facility issues and coordinate with vendors for repairs to minimize operational downtime.
- Technical Support: Assist Test Engineers in debugging hardware/software interfaces and setting up test cell for engineering usage.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of equipment utilization, maintenance history, and compliance reports. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Forms and any other related documents.
- Inventory Management: Manage test hardware, machines, devices, and lab consumables.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of ATE systems and semiconductor testing methodologies
- Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic circuits and using lab tools
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for reporting and vendor management
