Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Engineer specializing in Radio Frequency (RF) chips. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting factory operations by training personnel, optimizing test processes, and driving yield improvement initiatives. This position requires deep technical expertise in RF semiconductor testing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Factory Personnel Training:
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for factory personnel on RF chip testing methodologies, equipment, and best practices.
    • Create detailed documentation, including test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
    • Provide hands-on support to ensure factory teams are proficient in operating test equipment and interpreting test results.
  1. Yield Debugging and Improvement:
    • Analyze test data to identify yield-limiting factors and root causes of failures in Broadcom RF chip production.
    • Collaborate with design, process, and test engineering teams to implement corrective actions and improve yield.
    • Perform detailed failure analysis (FA) to isolate defects and recommend process or design changes.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Communicate yield trends, test results, and improvement plans to stakeholders.
    • Support new product introductions (NPI) by providing testability feedback and ensuring smooth ramp-up in production.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, with a focus on RF chips (experience with RF chips is highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, including signal integrity, noise, and impedance matching.
  • Proficiency in using semiconductor test equipment (e.g., ATE, oscilloscopes, network analyzers).
  • Experience with yield analysis tools and statistical data analysis (e.g., JMP, Excel, or similar).
  • Knowledge of failure analysis techniques and tools (e.g., SEM, FIB, EDX).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor factory personnel.
